Building A Pond Requires Hard Labor Or A Hired Contractor
If you are considering adding a water feature into your garden, there are a handful of options to help you in building a pond. There are kits available which include everything required. All you need to do is excavate a hole and, depending on the size, you’ll have your fish pond ready to go in a matter of hours. There are also designed for bigger areas that could require the usage of heavy building equipment. If you’ve got the hours as well as the gear you can dig your own hole to put in a more substantial pond or employ a building contractor with experience in building a pond and permit them to do everything. Water features in your landscaping; build it right the first time
We've just started a new project for Sue & Richard Vignola they had an existing water feature in their backyard built by "the other guys". The water feature consisted of a small creek flowing into a pond, creating a waterfall. The creek has a 2 foot source waterfall drop and a couple of small drop along the way and a 2 foot fall into the bottom pond. The Vignola's had 2 issues with their water feature.
- First, it's loosing water and they're at the point we're they are not using it because it takes too much water to maintain.
- Second, a few part of the water feature could be more natural looking and esthetically pleasing.
Since we were able to find the leaks within a few hours and could begin the process of rebuilding the water feature right away. This saved the client money from which we originally approximated the cost to be for the first part of the contract which was locating the leak.
Stay tuned to see how the rebuild of this waterfall and other water features goes.
